Surf Fishing Bliss
Bought this reel due to mounds of history and positive reviews I found on it all over the net. I have it matched up with a 11ft rod for surf fishing and I absolutely love it. Not a lot of frills with this reel (it's very old school), but its simplicity and durability is what makes it a classic. I've dropped it in the sand numerous times, and in the ocean...still works like a charm (really can't say that about some of the more expensive reels I own). Spools about 400 yards of 30lb braid. Love it, will probably buy another one down the road.
If you're spoiled (Iike me) by Prime shipping times, you may want to buy locally. Took about a week and a half to get delivered from Green Canyon Outfitters, but that was the only down side. Overall - awesome reel.
