Kudos to Wild Water Fly Fishing for bringing to market an Exceptional Value based product line of truly functional performance focused Fly Fishing products affordable by the fixed income fly fisherman. Really like the simplicity of the HX4-100-4 Fly Rod matte blank style and recognize that the fit-n-finish detail is focused where necessary at the furl and guide wrappings. This fly rod loads easily and can throw a tandem fly rig for distance and on target with a fast tip flex that recovers quickly yet sensitive enough to feel a strike and quickly set the hook. Buying the Wild Water HX4-100-4 fly rod afforded me the opportunity to give Tandem and Czech Nymphing a try without the specter of buyer's remorse - from over buying and then not liking the long rod nymphing style or by having gotten a too limited rod to do it well. Excellent value, excellent casting, excellent warranty. I use this fine fly rod on my trout lake in eastern Maine and on the wide rivers of northwestern Maine. Very pleased!
