This thing shreds.
This SUP is a perfect beginner paddleboard, we bought ours as a way of checking out the sport without going all in on an epoxy/wood board which would be triple the price.
Anyhow, this board performs well, though I would also suggest doing your homework on paddles, as they make quite a bit of difference. This paddleboard is very stable, have never capsized or anything, and holds quite a bit of weight, I would say the capacity is accurate. We are paddling in Montana, so mostly glacial lakes and rivers, but it's great and a ton of people are getting into it out here.
It even transports well, I have it strapped to my Yakima crossbars with 2 heavy duty tie-downs and that's it. No need for nose/tail tie-downs. It is heavy at first, but to be honest, after a few times of loading it up onto your roof, you get used to it real fast. I have traveled from the east coast to the west coast with this on my roof and the wind drag isn't too bad at all.
All in all, we...
Good board for me
A little heavy but very durable good for father and child to use on a lake. Use it to fish too
