Humminbird ICE-55 Six Color Flasher with LCD

Great improvement on ice fishing success
After reading reviews for ice fishing flashers I narrowed my choices down to a Vex FL-18, a Marcom LX-5 and the Hummingbird Ice-55. The reviews basically said that they are all good and it is a matter of personal preference. I chose the Ice-55 because I thought it had more options than the others. I like the liquid crystal display for depth and the backlighting is good in dark conditions. I really haven't used the 6 colors as three works just fine. The case is a nice thing to have and the handle on top makes it easy to carry although I have read that it can be easily broken. The only drawback I can see from the other flashers is the float setup. It works fine but haveing two cords in the water does not give a lot of room for bringing up fish. The Marcom seems to that the best setup with an adjustable arm that swings out. Of course the purpose of the second cord is to protect the transducer cord. The Marcum hangs for that cord which could shorten the life of the unit. I also...
The only one to buy.
The LCD depth display is a great benefit. I have numerous ice buddies who have this same unit, and it's got great reviews. I own other Humminbird units and they are also top notch. If you have the coin, and want the best, this unit is for you.
Not Sure
Sorry not sure of product yet. Had some issues not sure if unit or user yet. Wanted to stay in Demo mode.
