Amazing price on the best trolling motor on the market
I feel like I hit the lottery with this one as Amazon was the lowest price plus free shipping and no tax on top of that. I installed on my 2000 Cobra 201 bass boat specifically because I fish some rough water and wanted a 52" shaft version of the TM on my 20' boat vs the 45" shaft. It also helped that the 52" was cheaper as well so it was a no brainer. Installation was a snap and I was able to use the old mounting holes from my Motorguide (just had to remove the side plastic to review the compatible holes). I added a recessed trolling motor kit and another battery so that my bass boat has the ultimate setup.
One tip though if you've never installed this before search Youtube as there's plenty of video's covering the proper way to install it. I made the mistake being a Motorguide guy by installing the mount first, but the video's and documentation show you that you have to connect the TM to the mount, then the lift assist then to the boat. Broke on Arrival and Amazon will not take it back
After 3 hours of installation, deployed my trolling motor only to find that the gas shock does not function. I can actually move the pistion with my fingers. Tried to return it but Amazon said I could not and must contact Minn Kota. Thanks Amazon for standing behind the products you sell.

I bought this for my hubby. He loves it. It was the cheapest one I found, too. Thanks for the good value.
